Bring in 2005, please?

"May there always be work for your hands to do, may your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine on your windowpane, may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you, may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you."
- Irish Blessing

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2005!!!!!!!

How did you celebrate your new year?
Have a good time?
Who did you spend it with?
What time did you get home arh? *tsk-tsk*

I spent my count-down to New Year at church. The Thanksgiving/ Watch-night service was rather boring coz everything was very choppy and there were performances from the different regions. The testimonies were good and I praise God for all the blessings He has blessed us all with in 2004.
My cell group sang together in front of the congregation and Jeff said a few words in testimony to God's great power and love for our cell group. I guess he was kind of nervous coz he started blabbering and told the whole church that I take taekwondo. =.-;; Now whole church knows...aiyo~

On New Year's Day itself, I went to GEC to meet up with the BCM people to go to the National Stadium for the Arise kids evangelical thingy. It was very fun and wonderful to see children of all ages worshipping the Lord in so many ways.

After taking the bus back to GEC with the kids, I hitched a ride with Elsie jie and switched to a 70 in order to make it to Suntec to meet Pauline. Pauline introduced me to her friend whom she met in Australia where she is currently studying. I didn't have enough time to make a really deep impression of him but I think he’s a not bad guy lah...he gave us a lift to the Esplanade after we had dinner. Thanks dude!
Thank God it did not rain yesterday evening because the outdoor performance area was the venue for the gigs.
I watched Corrinee May and Electrico sing their lungs out and it was a total blast!
Corrinee May has a very beautiful voice and her song lyrics are very meaningful. Add those elements to a piano and you've got sure fire route to the top of the charts. Heh~
Electrico... heard of them before? :p
They are a Singapore band and they are goooooood.
Which is a very big compliment coming from me coz I don think much of Singapore bands. I tend to view Singapore inde bands as people who are slackers and jam for their own pleasure and in truth CMI but act as if they can...but that's just my opinion.
They jumped around on stage and rocked the 'house' down. The beats and grooves got everyone present on their feet and dancing like it was Zouk Out 2005. :)
Since everyone always has a favorite member of the band I just go ahead and say that the geeky bass guy, whose name is Desmond is very cool and the electric guitar fella whose name I can't remember, appeals to me in the looks department. Heh~ They sang their own songs and covers of other bands like Green Day and Tears for Fears. Bloody good xia~
Maybe I will go pick up their album. :D
The whole gig was a blast too because I was sitting next to the speakers. No joke ok. Not exactly very fun to have one's ears blasted out by the mega amps with guitars and drums going at full blast and on over drive.
Our ears were so whacked out by the end of the event that Pauline and I ended up shouting at each other on the way home. X) Thankfully my ears are now back to normal...at least I think they are~ O.o
While I was there I ran into lots of people, mainly from church...Jeff and his family, Alvin Wan, Elaine, Paul, Winston, etc... Alvin is also studying at SIM, he's in his 3rd year liao so he is lucky that he will soon leave the arena of Nana and Meena...-hoot- He introduced me to a friend of his who is also from SIM and we had a fun time goofing about and talking about the infamous Nana. Heh~

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, during the training that I injured my leg, Gerald hurt his back. How did he hurt his back?
Well, it went like this:
Gerald partnered Alfred for target practice. Towards the end of the session, he did something accidental which made Alfred very angry (I will let you go use your imagination)... so Alfred with all his pent up rage, kicked Gerald in the back. That's how Gerald got injured. That trooped Alfred. -shakes head-

Update on my knee:
Still hurts and still can’t walk properly...should I go see a doctor about it?

Sociology assignment due: 07/01/2005
IBM assignment due: Not sure
Economics test: 07/01/2005
I still have yet to start doing my sociology and IBM assignments. Plus I have no info on econs in my head at the moment o.O;;; Siao liao~

I love rain. Nuff said.

As I told my cell group last week:
Even though so many bad things have taken place, I still have high hopes for 2005. And remember, Hope is a good thing.

I really have no clue as how things will progress but I still believe that things can only get better.

Have a great 2005 everyone!
Cheers! ^-^

After thought:
OMG!!!!!!
I'm going to be 20 soon. O.O'''
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......~!!!!!
